I’m Kim. A mother of two energetic (read: loud) boys. A typical lunch in our house? Chicken nuggets and mac n’ cheese, maybe the occasional hot dog or pizza. I’m sick of it! I want my kids to be adventurous eaters. Not quite as adventurous as Andrew Zimmern and his love of all things testicular…Maybe more along the lines of just challenging my kids taste buds and finding on their own that they just might like curry or pesto and broadening their cultural awareness while I am at it.
Yes, I guess I’m a little late to the world of blogging as everyone and their mother has their own blog. With Facebook’s demise (probable? possible? hopeful?) I think we may return to a more civilized internet where blogs rule. So here I am. My gimick? Let’s find kid friendly restaurants in the East Valley (or other locations, I can work with friends in other cities as long as they don’t boycott my site because I live in Arizona.) And by kid friendly, I don’t mean the golden arches or any other fast food joint. I want to sit down with my kids and enjoy a good meal. Maybe a new Indian place in town? Or a good Thai restaurant? Something that will curb my cravings for “exotic” foods and still be a hit with the kids.
I’ll probably throw in some commentary on raising kids, living in AZ, politics, what not. Comments are always appreciated.
